I stopped treating grass like the problem.
A premium aerator kit built for homeowners who already do the work themselves, because they understand that what’s underneath matters more than what’s on top.

A Note Before the Kit
A lawn is easy to judge by what you can see. The soil beneath it asks for a little more attention.
As I've learned about lawn care while building Loamhearth, I've kept coming back to that ground-level view: understanding what's beneath the grass, choosing tools carefully, and caring for them after the work is done.
I started Loamhearth to make that approach part of everyday lawn care. Considered tools. Clear guidance. Attention to the ground itself.
FOUNDER, LOAMHEARTH
Why aerate
What compaction actually blocks.
Foot traffic, mowing, and rain pack soil down over time, until air, water, and nutrients can’t reach the roots anymore. Aeration opens channels back up so all three can do their job again.
Included
Not three items. One kit.
I didn’t want to sell someone a shoe and call it a day. The scraper and brush aren’t add-ons. They’re the rest of the job.

Keeping It Clean
Tools that don't stay clean don't stay sharp.
Aerator spikes clog, especially in wet or clay soil. The scraper and brush are there so you can clear them and keep going.
304 stainless spikes only stay sharp if what's stuck to them comes off. That's the whole idea.

Process
How I actually do this.
The work is simple. The results are not. Water lightly the day before so the soil is moist but not soggy, and plan for spring or fall, when the lawn is actively growing.

Strap on the shoes
Secure the aerator shoes over your work boots and cinch all four straps tight before you start walking.

Walk a grid pattern
Walk the lawn in straight rows first. Once you’ve finished that pass, walk it again at a right angle. The two passes together open the soil in a grid, not just a line. If the spikes start clogging mid-walk, stop and clear them with the scraper and brush before continuing.

Scrape packed soil
Use the scraper to clear packed soil from the spikes and base plate.

Brush away the rest
Use the brush to sweep away what’s left, so the spikes and base plate are clean for the next pass.
Why Loamhearth
We're not trying to do this fast. We're trying to do it right.
Renting gets the job done once. Owning means the ground gets the same attention every season, not just whenever the rental counter’s open.

$34.99, once
Yours every season
Rent an aerator for a day and it’s gone by evening. This kit’s still yours next spring, and the spring after that. No counter, no availability to check.

Do it yourself
The satisfaction of your own work
You already know your lawn better than anyone hired to look at it for twenty minutes. This just gives you the right tools to act on that.
